When I started writing the character of Kimberly Tuner, I had a picture in my head of what she looked like, but didn't have anyone famous in mind. The more I was writing Kim the more I was getting better picture.
Let's meet Kimberly Turner

Snipper of Moving On

I'm still in that train of thought when my phone rings and I fish it out of my hand bag. I check the caller ID only to see it’s again my roommate slash nag girlfriend. "Hey-o.” I greet as I put the phone to my ear.
"What time are you coming home? Don't tell me you forgot about tonight?" Zoe's voice is both bewildered, and incredulous and I can't help the snort from escaping my lips.
"Tell me how could I possibly forget, when you remind me like every five minutes the whole day?" I ask, smiling as I study my glittered blue nail polish through my open toed silver sling-back heels.
"It's not like every five minutes.” I can almost see the eye roll, and I chuckle.
"And you know this because?"
“I’ve an alarm so shut it and just get here." She demands as my head snapped up when I feel someone else's presence in the vicinity. I initially think that it’s Rob, and he's already back so I look around, expecting him.
I frown when I don't see anyone and Zoe spoke again from the phone.
"You still there?"
I am so sure someone's here. In fact, it feels as though I am being watched. I can't explain it, but it sure feels like that.
"Uhh, yes, I'll be home in ten minutes."  I say as I scan the area.

"Alright then, I can't wait!" Zoe answers as I’m still looking around.
Maybe it's just my imagination so I just shrug it off and concentrate on the phone call.
I can't share her enthusiasm because I am not excited for this. I’d rather spend the night curled in my bed watching Netflix movies.
"I know you are, Zoe." I say quietly and Zoe sobers from her excitement just as the same time I see Rob emerging from the building. "Okay so I'll see you in ten, kisses." I end the call and straighten from where I am leaning.
Rob hands me my USB and says good bye.
We get into our separate cars, and I drive home.
I go straight to shower and then primp myself for an hour, making sure that I seem to look as if I am so happy to have this night out. I applied a smoky effect on my eyes and velvet red lipstick on my lips. I wear a black skin-tight dress that hung teasingly to my mid thigh. It has a chic and elegant, teasing-but-not-quite style.
I miss dressing up like this. It's been so long when I last wore something this beautiful.

I ignore the pinch it brings to my chest, and close the door behind me, turning the knob to check if I locked it right. I look down to my feet when I step onto something and see that it's a piece of paper. Frowning, I crouch down and pick up the paper which turns out to be a picture.
Did I drop something when I got in the house?
I turn it over and take a step back as if someone pushed me backwards. My lips part as the breath comes out with a rush from my lungs. It's a picture of me coming out of Mr Webb's building. It's as if paparazzi have taken the shot, it's candid and the angle is odd, as if the person taking the photo is hiding somewhere.
I make a face. Why would the paparazzi take a photo of me? I'm just an intern, and nothing like a big shot. Mr Webb is a big shot, sure, and yes I just had an interview with him; that's the end of it, so why would my photo would be taken? And why would it be delivered to me
I look around the empty neighborhood, seeing no one, or anything peculiar. Somehow, these photos give me a chill...and it has nothing to do with the cold breeze licking my skin.

Before I can think about it any further, my phone rings from inside my bag, making me jump. I scramble to take the thing out as it continues ringing, and place it next to my ear. The background is so noisy, and I know Zoe is already in the bar.
"Where are you?" She shouts over the noise. I go to my car, slip the picture to my purse and got into the driver’s seat.

"I'm on my way." I say and end the call as I back out from the driveway.

I hope that you all like the little part that I have shared with you all, you can order Moving On

Back to writing now

I had been writing everyday to make Moving On prefect, it took me a long time, but once it was ready and I hit the publish button I thought that I would take some time out from I started Moving Forward. That did not happen I already had a new book in my head, which as no title yet.

The a few days ago a started to watch a new show called Daredevil on Netflix.

I thought I would watch an episode here and there, and continue with my writing after, did that happen no not at all.
This so was so additive I am not even joking, one night I watch so many episode that I went to bed and 2.30 in the morning. I ended up watch all of season one in 2 days, and for me that mean this was a good show.
The actor is very good looking too so you get some eye candy too :)

When I got to the final episode and it had finished I was gutted, I mean really gutted so I went online to see when season 2 will be out, which made me even more gutted I have to wait until April 2016, a whole year I have to wait, I can not begin to tell you all how annoyed I am that I have to wait so long.

If you have not watched it I would highly recommend that you watch this show.

Now that this is finished I suppose the pulls side is that I can get back to writing my story again and have the first draft finished sooner rather than later, this story is different to Moving On so its a little out my comfort zone, although I do like how it is going so far.

Keep an eye out for posts coming up where I will talk a little more about my new story.

I hope that you all enjoy my bog and will follow me

Happy Vaisakhi

I started this blog to let everyone know about my book, but I was thinking about it and thought that I would also like my reader to know about me, things I do at the weekend, what things I bake, TV shows I have been watching. I think that this would be a great place for you all to get to know the person behind the words of Moving On.

This weekend is always a special one for me. On Sunday it was the Birmingham Vaisakhi Mela. Vaisakhi fall on April 14th.

For anyone that doesn't know about this festive I thought i would add a little here for you :-

The Sikh Holiday of Vaisakhi is celebrated every year on April 14. Also frequently spelled Baisakhi, Vaisakhi has origins as a springtime festival in the Punjab region, but since 1699 has taken on a great deal of religious significance for Sikhs. On Vaisakhi in that year, Guru Gobind Singh created the Khalsa and established much of what is at the core of the Sikh faith today.

I have been going to this festive since I was a little girl and I used to go with my grand dad, and now I go with my husband and love it just as much as I did when I was little.

The event starts at Smethwick Gurdwaras and we walk to Handworth Park. I have put a map so that you can see the route that we go.

From start to finish it took use about 3 hours, and i was tried at all. As you walk a religious pray is done, and you can hear it. This walk for me and my husband is a very peace event and I am blessed to go every year.
This is a picture that I took.

Once you arrive at Handworth park, there is rides for children and a few for adults but not many, and they have stalls that all sell different things that have to do with Sikhism, T-shirts, books, cds, dads etc...

I can't wait to go again next year.

Moving On

Here is the first book in the Moving Series - Moving On

Everyone has a past. For most people their past is their worst nightmare, haunting them day by day. Such a person with a past is Kim Turner. But everything changes when Nicolas Webb comes into her life, and that too without her consent. Nick on the other hand, is your typical hot shot. With money comes powers and with powers come happiness, or so he thought until he met Kim. Haunted by her past and stalked in his present, are they destined to be together? Will Kim be able to let go of her past and trust Nick or will Nick just cause another heartbreak?

You can Pre Order Moving On now and it will be out May 2nd.

This is very exciting for me and I am looking forward to where Kim and Nick will go within the story.
I hope you all fall in love with them just as much as I have.
